Autonomous cars, when they hit the consumer market, will come fully loaded with a host of liability concerns. Ironing out those issues — such as who is responsible for a crash when software is driving — has to happen before these vehicles can become an everyday reality. The liability confusion is the main reason we don't already see more autonomous cars on the road.
